An Exploration of American Government

This three-credit graduate level course is designed to provide educators with an in-depth exploration of American Government and how they can use this knowledge not only when teaching social studies, but to implement cross-curricular lessons in all subject areas consistent with the Pennsylvania Academic and Core Standards to increase students’ scores on state and local assessments, mainly the PSSAs and Keystone Exams. This is an online Google Classroom course, and each module contains a series of lessons, videos, written responses, review of current historical and educational research, and other activities. This course is designed for educators from grades K-12. The course has no prerequisites or prior requirements.
